Philatelic Literature Dealers

There are many places you can find philatelic books, periodicals, and auction catalogs, all of which can be invaluable in helping you to understand, expand, and eventually dispose of your collection. Many auction houses conduct sales that include better philatelic books. There are philatelic libraries scattered around the US. To acquire specific titles the best source is usually a dealer who specializes in philatelic literature. The four I have dealt with - all of whom have web sites - are listed below.

Eric Jackson

Phil Bansner

James Lee

Leonard Hartmann

In addition, there are a number of resources on the Internet for out-of-print books - the ones I consult most often are listed below:

abebooks.com

alibris

amazon.com

BookFinder.com

Powells Books
