The early postal stationery of Nicaragua is a fertile area for the rail specialist, as all the designs used on the early stamps were issued on stamped envelopes and postal cards as well, in multiple denominations, in various formats and sizes, with various papers, and with overprints. Only a few are shown here. Some of the other items known are listed, but there are many more. There are phony overprints on the market.
