Post Cards of the 1924 Paris Olympics

I stated on the introductory page of this presentation of Olympic seals and labels that I would stick to the poster stamps, as listed in the DuBois catalog - no postage stamps, medals, or postcards. I have deviated from that rule in a few places, when I had images of items I thought just had to be shown, and this page is an example of that. Of all the Olympics postcards I have seen, the ones on this page are the best, so here they are - one set of 8, and another of 10. Enjoy.

Alas, the address side is quite boring. All eight are identical.

These cards can be found without the stamp image (indicium), as they were privately printed, and the stamp added later, a convenience provided by many postal services of that era.

Folder for cards:

The folder is exquisite, with a fabulous image showing an allegorical figure (Peace?) presenting a trophy to an Olympic athlete, with the Paris skyline in the background.
