THE POSTER STAMPS OF F. G. COOPER

Poster Stamps by F G Cooper - Other & maybe

The first group here are signed Cooper stamps for other entities - not Edison or the electrical industry.
The second group are just guesses - they have the same design elements
or themes as Cooper's other work, but none is signed, so ???

PORTLAND OREGON ROSE FESTIVAL

Clear FGC logos. Quite far afield from New York and Cooper's usual customers!

Bob Bradbury, fellow PSCC Member, tipped me off to the 1915 stamp, and I found the image on the (sadly defunct) DEPS site Thanks to both of them. Ray Petersen (maerkat on eBay) tipped me off to the 1916 stamp, and provided the image. My thanks to him.

DO IT ELECTRICALLY

These are the likeliest candidates - the theme is identical
with the sets Cooper did for Edison and AEG,
and the characters have Cooper's signature "bigheads."
"Do It Electrically" was the slogan of the electrical industry as a whole in the teens.

Not a complete set.
Bradbury, United States Advertising Poster Stamps, 1912-1915
says there are twenty designs, and that the set was also issued in black,
with the company name "Buchanan Electric" added.

Note the similarity of the figures to the ones on the alphabet stamps.

Less likely, but a cute set.

Cooper was famous for his "bighead" characters, so these look like candidates.

More "bigheads?"
