Esperanto Summer Schools and Camps
10th anniversary, Esperanto summer school, Doksy, Czechoslovakia, 1956
Esperantists like to get together to study and practice,
and when better than summertime?
So summer camps and summer schools have been popular -
and still are.
One popular venue was on the shores of Lake Macha, near Doksy, Czechoslovakia. The sheetlets of
stamps at the top commemorated the tenth anniversary of the summer school there, in 1956. "Floraj Ludoj"
means "Floral Games," an Esperanto literary contest that originated in Spain in 1908.
