Esperanto promotion stamp

Advertisements for Esperanto fall into two categories: Those in another language, directed at its speakers, and those in Esperanto itself. The latter type seems rather pointless, since only someone who already speaks the language understands the message.

But there are many Esperanto stamps in Esperanto. These range from simple text messages on labels - no graphics at all - to elaborate, brightly colored eye-catching designs that *might* spark curiosity in the viewer. Many have just the Esperanto star - I've made a separate page about those, so won't show any here.

The message of most of these is simple - "Learn Esperanto" - some go a bit further, extolling the virtues of the language for promoting peace and friendship.
The last one in the first column is an appeal from an Esperantist looking for pen pals.
